
Daniel Jean Jr
President

Daniel began his career in community organizing and education management. He worked on the low-wage worker Fight for $15 campaign that was well known across the country. He has helped start more than 25 charter schools in Chicago and Philadelphia. In that time Daniel realized that he enjoyed project-based work shifted his career to project management. He has worked in various project roles in construction and engineering, leading projects for clients like Verizon and AT&T FirstNet. He later moved on to become a Project Leader in Security Governance at AIM Specialty Health accountable for leading projects to attain and maintain various security certifications. He is currently a manager in Data Analytics in Supply Chain.
Daniel has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University, and he is currently enrolled at the University of Maryland Global Campus pursuing his master’s degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Project Management. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys playing the drums, traveling, cooking, and large amounts of coffee.
Yves Bienvenu

Yves has over 20 years of experience working in finance and accounting for Healthcare, Financial institutions, and Energy companies. He has worked in finance transformation projects that have brought order to chaos in the financial operations for companies or startups.
Patrick Brutus
Vice President/ Founding Member

Patrick Brutus has spent a lifetime successfully applying his knowledge gained in the public sector
helping those in need at the local community level by working together with stakeholders on economic
and community development concerns and policy issues in a diverse number of areas, topics and subject
matters. Patrick Brutus is also an award-winning proven leader with 29 years of experience in the public
sector serving the people of Illinois. Simply put, Patrick is a man of and for the people.
In May 2009, Patrick co-founded the Haitian-American Professional Network (HAPN), and with the many relationships developed during his years in public service, the organization has been able to work closely with civic groups and leaders, resulting in it quickly being recognized as one of the lead organizations in the community. Patrick
has been a leading advocate for Haitian people and has appeared on national and local media and is a
leading advocate for Haiti in both Illinois as well as nationally.
Sabine Fleming
Secretary

Sabine Fleming is Co-Founder, Past President, and Past Vice President of HAPN and currently serves as the organization’s Secretary. She is deeply committed to HAPN’s mission of celebrating the richness of Haitian culture while strengthening connections within the Haitian community through impactful networking initiatives.
Sabine earned a Bachelor of Arts in French Business Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago, completed MBA coursework, and holds both a Six Sigma Green Belt certification and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. She currently serves as a Global Key Account Manager in the chemical industry.
With more than 30 years of experience across sales, business development, and marketing, Sabine has held both regional and global commercial responsibilities. In addition to leading strategic customer relationships, she has successfully managed and delivered multiple product launch projects for her business unit.
Sabine enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
Marielle Sainvilus
Board Member / Founding Member

Marielle helps oversee both internal and external communications, with particular focus on Booth’s campuses in North America and Asia. Her responsibilities include media relations, crisis and emergency communications, and other content-related PR and marketing initiatives promoting the school.
Over the past decade, Marielle has held a number of leadership positions in communications, including press secretary for Chicago Public Schools, assistant press secretary in the Office of the Governor of Illinois, and as the director of public affairs for the University of Chicago. Most recently, Marielle took on the task of communications director for the Mayor of Chicago’s first 100 days in office, ensuring communications alignment between all city departments and agencies.
Nathalie Germain
Board Member / Founding Member

Nathalie Germain serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Designated Managing Broker of Breakthrough Realty and the President of Guardian Management and Property Investments.
In her role as CEO and Designated Managing Broker, Mrs. Germain leads all aspects of leasing, maintenance, and property management for a portfolio of more than 75 doors. Her accomplishments include operating a successful Airbnb property, maintaining a consistent 90% rent collection rate, and guiding clients in achieving their real estate investment and ownership goals.
With more than 15 years of experience in project management and multiple certifications in quality and process improvement, Mrs. Germain also oversees investment sourcing, financial analysis, and construction and project management for Guardian Management and Property Investments. She has successfully completed over 50 rehabilitation projects and has tripled the company’s portfolio during her tenure.
Mrs. Germain is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
